Much like the undead creatures who have been hunting Milla Jovovich for a decade now, the 'Resident Evil' series refuses to die. 'Resident Evil: Retribution,' the fifth entry in the Hot Ladies VS Mutant Horde series, arrives in theaters this September, where, if the past is any indication, it'll gross just enough money to please everyone involved and get part six in the pipeline. The latest banner poster for the film promises more of what this series has always delivered: Jovovich in skin-tight costumes shooting guns across desolate wastelands.

Although, to be fair, the official synopsis made it pretty clear that no one at the helm of this franchise (namely director Paul WS Anderson) was going to mess with something that wasn't broken:

The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.

What do you think of the banner, 'Resident Evil' fans? Are you happy with the direction of the series or do you wish they'd shake things up? 'Resident Evil: Retribution' opens on September 14, 2012.
