There's a lot of characters that we've seen in movies that have more fictional money than they can care to count. Oh, to have a life like that. Out of what must have been inspired by pure boredom or envy on these fictional characters, a list was complied of some of the richest characters that ever appeared in movies, and you don't believe who, or what, is number one.

Forbes complied a list of some of the richest fictional characters out there and the wealthiest of them all isn't even human. Smaug the dragon, the same one that appears in J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Hobbit,' is apparently worth $62 billion. Crazy, isn't it?

The rest of the characters that appeared on the list includes Charles Foster Kane from 'Citizen Kane,' Forest Gump, Lisbeth Salander from 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,' Richie Rich, Bruce Wayne / Batman and Tony Stark / Iron Man, naturally.

If you want to check out the fictional dragon surrounded by oodles upon oodles of money, then you'll be able to see him in a few months in Peter Jackson's 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,' voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch. The story follows a younger Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) who goes on a quest to the Lonely Mountain with a group of Dwarves in order to get their treasure back that's been stolen by Smaug .
