Last night, Robert Pattinson made his first television appearance since his public breakup with 'Twilight' star Kristen Stewart on 'The Daily Show.' As expected, the audience was filled with 'Twilight' fans who had been waiting all day to see him. So what did he say? How did they react?

Well...as you might expect, he said nothing. Despite Jon Stewart's best efforts to get some kind of statement or response out of Pattinson (who admitted he doesn't have a publicist to prep him for an interview like this), there was no big revelation.

Pattinson and Stewart (Jon, not Kristen) shared pints of Ben & Jerry's ("the last time I had a bad breakup, Ben & Jerry's got me through the tough times," said Stewart) while the host shared his opinion: "Girl, you are better off, kick her to the curb!" To which the 'Twilight' infused audience erupted in cheers.

But Pattinson was in fact there to promote 'Cosmopolis,' which hits theaters this Friday. He admitted it's a hard film to describe but told his fans that he genuinely wants the movie to do well and implored them to buy tickets (even though the film is only opening up in six cities).
