With a premiere date currently set for August 9, 2013 and a star-studded cast, including Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Keaton, the 'RoboCop' remake, helmed by Jose Padilha, is already well on its way. Production began back in mid-September and we've already seen what Joel Kinnaman will look like once he's all RoboCop-ed up. So, how would you like to see even more shots of our hero in action?

Thanks to Ronnie Yip, a research scientist at the University of Toronto, we now have more information on a major scene from the upcoming 'RoboCop' remake. According to Yip, (via his Google+ page) the cast and crew were busy filming a scene over this (Canadian) Thanksgiving weekend on campus, and despite initial protest from the crew, he was able to snag some pretty clear shots.

The photos, shown below, depict the scene where RoboCop is officially revealed to the people of Detroit, half of whom seem to be pulling a "Westboro Baptist Church" by holding up signs that read, "God Hates Robots." (Looks like these people will still be around even in the year 2028.) After the unveiling, a hostage-like situation occurs and RoboCop is forced into action.

Also featured in these photos is a first look at Michael Keaton as the head of OmniCorp, and who, as Yip states, looks "really old." Check out the photos below and let us know what you think in the comments!
