We hope you liked Jessica Lange in the first season of Ryan Murphy's FX scare-fest 'American Horror Story,' because that's what you're getting!

'Glee,' 'Nip/Tuck' and 'American Horror Story' creator Ryan Murphy finally decided to be a bit forthcoming about the hotly-anticipated second season of 'American Horror Story,' divulging our first real details about who, if anyone from the previous cast would join for the re-imagined round two.

Well good news, everybody!  Jessica Lange, respected actress and breakout star of the first season with her character "Constance Langdon," will be back full-time for 'American Horror Story' season 2, with the entire story focusing on her new character.  Says Ryan Murphy of the casting news from Entertainment Weekly:

“We have designed the second season of American Horror Story completely around her character.  Last year Jessica came in with Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott. This will really be the Jessica Lange show so I’m very excited about it. We are designing this amazing new opposite of the Constance character for her. She and I have spoken about different things. She has a lot of ideas, and has a lot of input into her character. She told me some things she has always wanted to play as an actress. She’s a great collaborator and a great friend.”

At this point, it's unclear who besides the two-time Oscar winner (plus Golden Globe and SAG award from the character) will return from 'American Horror Story's first season, though Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton (the Harmons) definitively won't be among them.  We do know however, that the three returnees (fingers crossed, Denis O'Hare!) will be announced at the show's panel in this Friday's PaleyFest!

The only other details available of 'American Horror Story' season 2 are that the action will take place on the East Coast, within some kind of "horror institution."  Descriptive.

What say you, 'American Horror Story' fans?  Are you looking forward to the new season, or are you still mad we'll never find out what happened with Constance and her Anti-Christ ghost baby?

As the most colorful of all its first season characters, it makes sense for FX and Ryan Murphy to double down on Jessica Lange, but who would you like to see most tingling America's spines in season 2?  Give us your thoughts and theories in the comments below!
