If you didn’t like The Ridiculous 6 or The Do-Over, don’t worry — Netflix isn’t giving up just yet. The streaming service is determined to make you love Adam Sandler again, and this time, they’re taking him back to 1994, which is probably the last time he was genuinely entertaining (OK, with the exception of The Wedding Singer). Yep, there’s another new Sandler movie coming to Netflix; behold, the first trailer for Sandy Wexler.

Just in case you thought Sandler’s accent for The Waterboy wasn’t dumb enough, meet Sandy Wexler, the titular Wacky Character from the latest chapter of the actor’s Netflix movie deal. Sandy is essentially the living, breathing version of Peak Sandler Voice. He’s also a talent manager (somehow) working in Los Angeles in 1994 because this movie does indeed have something approximating a plot:

Sandy Wexler (Adam Sandler) is a talent manager working in Los Angeles in the 1990s who diligently represents a group of eccentric clients on the fringes of show business. His single-minded devotion is put to the test when he falls in love with his newest client, Courtney Clarke (Academy Award and Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson), a tremendously talented singer who he discovers at an amusement park.

Sandler is joined by a few of the usual suspects, including Kevin James, Terry Crews, Nick Swardson, and Rob Schneider (his character info isn’t available, but it’s probably safe to assume that he’s tastefully representing another minority). The film also stars New Girl’s Lamorne Morris, Jane Seymour and Arsenio Hall, and hits Netflix on April 14. You should probably cancel your plans for that day right now.
