Recent Oscars host and animation magnate Seth MacFarlane might be branching out into live-action TV, but not everything about the 'Ted' creator's latest work will feel unfamiliar. After years of voicing Chris Griffin on MacFarlane's FOX flagship 'Family Guy' and taking playful potshots at one another with regard to 'Robot Chicken,' Seth Green has officially joined the cast of MacFarlane's upcoming live-action sitcom 'Dads.' Find out what brings the Seths together inside!

After breaking out into the movies with 'Ted,' we were surprised to hear that 'Family Guy' creator Seth MacFarlane would keep to TV at the helm of FOX's upcoming sitcom 'Dads,' though now the series will at least feature some familiar faces. Outlets report that Seth Green has secured one of the final major role in the series, which follows successful video game entrepreneurs Warner ('The Mindy Project's Thomas Dewey) and Eli (Green), who find their lives going haywire when their fathers unexpectedly move in with them.

Written and executive produced by ‘Ted’ scribes Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, with MacFarlane acting as a third, non-writing executive producer, ‘Dads’ has been given an initial pickup order of six episodes. Peter Riegert and Martin Mull ('Arrested Development's Gene Parmesan) also star in the project as Eli and Warner’s respective fathers.

What say you? Would you tune in for a live-action Seth MacFarlane series, or his best work with animated projects?
