Showtime fans were in for a world of good news today; not only will Dale Cooper lead the ‘Twin Peaks’ revival, but ‘Shameless’ will return for a sixth season! Not enough? Showtime’s ‘Happyish’ has been picked up to series, and will premiere as early as this April!

The ‘Shameless’ renewal shouldn’t exactly come as a surprise, what with the Gallaghers holding their fifth season premiere last night, and garnering the comedy drama some typically strong reviews. The fifth season will see Justin Chatwin’s Jimmy Steve Jack make his grand re-entrance at some point, along with Dermot Mulroney’s role as Fiona’s new boss, ‘Rizzoli & Isles’ star Sasha Alexander as one of Lip’s college professors, ‘Home and Away’ star Axle Whitehead, and ‘Rake’ alum Bojana Novakovic.

Now picked up to series and premiering April 26, Showtime’s ‘Happyish’ originally featured Philip Seymour Hoffman in the lead role, and was described as “a blistering attack on our youth-obsessed culture and a darkly comic examination of what it means to matter. Or matter not.” Steve Coogan takes over the leading role of Thom Payne, a Prozac and Viagra user who finds himself adrift when his advertising agency is taken over. Kathryn Hahn will maintain her role as Payne’s wife Lee, while Bradley Whitford takes over from ‘Amazing Spider-Man‘ star Rhys Ifans as Payne’s boss.

Also guest starring on the series are Emmy-winner Ellen Barkin, ‘True Blood’’s Carrie Preston, ‘Third Watch’'s Molly Price and ‘The Wire’ star Andre Royo.

Well, what say you? Are you happy to have the Gallaghers alive and well (ish) for another season in 2016? What make you of ‘Happyish?’ Watch the ‘Shameless’ premiere and latest trailer below, and give us your thoughts in the comments!
