‘Shameless’ Season 6 Moves Up a Week With First Trailer and Poster

Just the other day, Showtime’s Shameless gave us our first taste of Season 6 with a plethora of debaucherous teasers, and now the Gallagher family is apt to burn things down even faster. The official premiere has been moved up, while Shameless Season 6 celebrates with its first trailer and poster.

The stylish new poster for Shameless Season 6 follows some of the key art glimpsed in an earlier teaser, adopting a retro ‘70s vibe for its family and friends. Along with a move from January 17 to January 10, Showtime offers a new synopsis and poster for the season:

Season six of Shameless picks up a few months after last year’s finale, leaving the Gallaghers to prepare for yet another long Chicago winter. This season will see more than just the arctic Lake Michigan winds whipping through the Southside. Change is hard and the Gallaghers are as surprised as anyone at how life is turning out for them. But the question remains, as they come into their own and find out who they are, is it really possible that the Gallaghers could grow apart for good?

Thus far, we know relatively little of Shameless Season 6 plot-wise, though guests for the new year include Mad TV alum Will Sasso, Ever Carradine, and Chris Brochu. Check out the trailer and poster again above, and stay tuned for more on the Shameless Season 6 premiere on January 10.
