This coming weekend's 'SNL' will already be one to watch, returning Chris Rock to the stage after nearly two decades away, alongside legendary musical guest Prince. If that weren't exciting enough, the formerly known as "formerly known as" artist will also make 'SNL' history, eschewing his two performance slots for one eight-minute uninterrupted jam session. Plus, check out a Mike O'Brien digital short deleted from last week's Jim Carrey installment!

Backed by his all-female band 3RDEYEGIRL (guitarist Donna Grantis, bassist Ida Nielsen, and drummer Hannah Ford Welton), Prince has elected to play one long set during the November 1 episode, rather than the usual two. Prince has previously performed on ‘SNL’ both in 1981 and in 2006, and will likely look to promote either of his two recent albums with the jam-session, if not work in some old favorites.

As if that weren't enough to look forward to, a deleted sketch of this past weekend's Jim Carrey-hosted installment has emerged, showing writer/cast member Mike O'Brien in a digital short titled "The Kids." Carrey too pops up in the brief, but creepy bit, something we'd have like to see given the full-air treatment, given the upcoming Halloween date.

You can see for yourself in O'Brien's deleted sketch above, but what say you? Are you looking forward to Chris Rock's hosting, or Prince's eight-minute jam session this Saturday, November 1?
