Was there ever any doubt that SNL was going to mock Clint Eastwood's conversation with a chair at the Republican National Convention? And was there ever really any doubt that the great Bill Hader would play Eastwood? Of course not...but that doesn't make it any less funny.

When Clint Eastwood scolded and argued with an invisible President Barack Obama for eleven minutes on live television, many viewers felt like they were watching an Onion article or SNL sketch come to life. With half of the work already done for them (because a tough guy icon like Eastwood getting angry at a piece of furniture is already a brilliant comedic concept), all the SNL writers had to do was take it further...all the way to Broadway.

The result is a pretty spot-on parody of Broadway television advertisements, complete with audience reactions outside the theater. We don't know about you, but we'd certainly watch three hours of Hader's Eastwood yelling at a chair.
