In case you missed last night's 'Sons of Anarchy' season 5 premiere "Sovereign," things are darker than ever for the men of SAMCRO.  Niners baddie Damon Pope has seared the depth of his vengeance into our minds forever, while Clay Morrow silently plots from the sides, and Jax does everything within his power to keep the club from tearing itself to pieces.  But with one hour down, what's to come for the rest of the season?

Jax and Chibs are on the run, Tig's soul has been burnt to a crisp, and Unser's life hangs by a thread, though those are only a few of the shocking events that took place during last night's 'Sons of Anarchy' season 5 premiere "Sovereign."  So while Jax may have found a temporary sanctuary at Nero Padilla (Jimmy Smits)' brothel, how long before the forces of either the law or the unlawful close in on SAMCRO?  Judging by last night's season preview, we may not have long at all.

The below preview for 'Sons of Anarchy' season 5 highlights a number of the conflicts ready to boil over, as the Sons struggle to keep themselves out of prison and beyond the reach of Damon Pope, though by the end it looks like they might end up going in after all.  And what of the escalating conflict between Tara and Gemma?  Could Jax really have his own mother killed, if his wife willed it so?  Where's Opie or Clay in all of this?
