Namco Bandai has announced that they will be releasing a new title for their weapon-based SoulCalibur series for the PlayStation Network. The game will be called SoulCalibur: Lost Swords and will be free-to-play.

According to Eurogamer, the game will be exclusive for the PlayStation Network and follows in the wake of the free-to-play version of Tekken. It's been confirmed that two of the series' most beloved characters, Siegfried the knight and Mitsurugi the samurai, will be available in the core game.

Lost Swords will follow the free-to-play Tekken's model and release new characters over time. It's also been confirmed that Lost Swords will be released in Europe, but there's no word on whether or not North America will see a release (it probably will).

We'll update you on details about Lost Swords when more information will be released at the Tokyo Game Show.
