We're just one week away from the Starz premiere of 'Spartacus: War of the Damned,' a final season destined to go down in infamy as the bloodiest, and most epic yet. But could the series live on as a spin-off with new star Todd Lasance continuing the role of Julius Caesar? We'd previously heard the rumors, but now Lasance himself has spoken out about the possibility. Find out if 'Spartacus' will live on in spirit inside!

Previously, we'd heard that Starz was kicking around the idea of spinning-off upcoming 'Spartacus: War of the Damned' character Julius Caesar into his own series with actor Todd Lasance, even though the Starz drama's final season won't premiere until January 25. The New York Daily News spoke to Lasance about the possibility, revealing that he'd certainly be up for it:

Honestly, we haven't had any specific conversations about where Caesar will go or what will happen in the future. I'm kind of in the dark. But it's certainly something I'd look at if the opportunity presented itself.

Still, Lasance spoke about Starz rather unique take on the character, who historically wasn't known to be present during Marcus Crassus' (Simon Merrells) war against Spartacus, but wasn't coherently documented at that point in his life either. "He's kind of the rogue of the Roman Empire. He's a lot more hands-on and getting dirty on the battlefield than what you'd expect, says the 27-year-old actor. I think it'll be a nice surprise, and a new twist on Caesar."

We'll keep you updated as 'Spartacus: War of the Damned' premieres next week, but what say you? Would you be interested to see Julius Caesar spin-off from 'Spartacus?' How do you hope the epic saga will conclude? Check out the latest trailer, and give us your predictions in the comments!
