'Spartacus: War of the Damned' Takes You to Set for the Final SeasonKevin Fitzpatrick |
If you're anything like us, you too were heartbroken to learn that 'Spartacus: War of the Damned' would represent the final season of the epic Starz series, with only a paltry ten episodes at that. Still, with all the impressive talent attached and the promise of such expanded scope, it's hard to contain our excitement for the season, and what we might see at Comic-Con 2012. How would you like a first look at the set of 'Spartacus: War of the Damned?'
Production is well underway for the third, and final season of Starz's bloody and sexy adaptation of the classic Spartacus story, this year titled 'Spartacus: War of the Damned.' Things are certainly going to look different, with all new sets and near of the entire cast killed off in the 'Spartacus: Vengeance' finale "Wrath of the Gods," as the story moves into the titular hero's full-scale war against the Romans.
In addition to the casting of actresses Anna Hutchinson, Jenna Lind and Gwendoline Taylor, 'Spartacus: War of the Damned’ will also feature the introduction of two major villains, that of Marcus Crassus (Simon Merrells), with a young Julius Caesar (Todd Lasance) by his side. The extensive additions fill the void left by departed actors Lucy Lawless (Lucretia), Viva Bianca (Ilithyia), Craig Parker (Glaber), Peter Mensah (Oenomaus), Katrina Law (Mira) and Nick E. Tarabay (Ashur).
In the video below you'll see the brand new sets of 'Spartacus: War of the Damned,' as well as your first glimpse at several new characters and filming techniques developed for the season! Check it out, and tell us what you're most excited to see from 'Spartacus' season 3 in the comments!
