Following recent confirmation of the official title and logo for Spider-Man: Homecoming, casting is starting to really come together on the highly-anticipated reboot, which marks a collaborative effort between Sony and Marvel. As Tom Holland prepares to make his debut as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, another actor has joined the cast of the web-slinger’s forthcoming solo film, though her specific part remains a bit mysterious.

One Life to Live star Laura Harrier has signed on for a “significant role” in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Not much else is known about Harrier’s part, but The Wrap reports that her character is named Michelle — that could be a typo, as there is a character named Michele Gonzales in The Amazing Spider-Man comics. Michele is the older sister of Peter Parker’s one-time roommate Vin Gonzales, an NYPD cop who participates in a conspiracy to turn the public against Spider-Man. A ret-con in the comics also had him marrying Mary Jane Watson at one point.

Michele is a lawyer who takes her brother’s place as Peter’s roommate and becomes his love interest. She’s also skilled in Muay Thai and Tae Bo. It’s possible that this is the basis for Harrier’s character, but details remain scarce.

Deadline adds that The Grand Budapest Hotel star Tony Revolori will play Peter’s high school nemesis, though he won’t have a major antagonistic role.

Here’s what we do know: Jon Watts (Cop Car) is directing the reboot based on a script by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, with plans to keep the focus on Parker in high school. Maria Tomei will play Aunt May, with Michael Keaton in talks for a mysterious villain role. A recent report suggested that Vulture is a villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming, though there could be more than one antagonist, so it’s not clear if this is the role Keaton is in talks to play. Zendaya is also attached to star, but details on her part also remain unknown.

Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man is also reportedly set to appear in Spider-Man: Homecoming, which hits theaters on July 7, 2017.

Holland will make his Spidey debut in Captain America: Civil War on May 6.
