The new (and very good) trailer for Star Trek Beyond premiered over the weekend following a 50th anniversary fan event in Los Angeles attended by director Justin Lin, producer J.J. Abrams, and a few members of the cast. In addition to screening the latest sneak peek at the upcoming sequel, fans were treated to some exclusive footage and a special announcement regarding the world premiere. If you’re a Trek fan and you’re able to make it to San Diego Comic-Con this summer, you should probably do that.

Star Trek Beyond will officially open Comic-Con on Wednesday, July 20 at the Embarcadero Marina Park South. Yes, that’s an outdoor location, which makes this all the more exciting. The event is being billed as the first-ever outdoor IMAX world premiere, and will allow attendees to experience the film on the biggest and best screen possible — all while sitting out under the stars, next to the ocean.

That’s not all. The San Diego Symphony Orchestra will play Michael Giacchino’s score for Star Trek Beyond to accompany the screening, and while the press release didn’t reveal if Giacchino will serve as the composer, it’s hard to imagine he wouldn’t be there. Expressing his own excitement for the event, Justin Lin said:

I am thrilled to celebrate the premiere of the film together with the fans at Comic-Con and excited for everyone there to experience Michael Giacchino’s incredible score played live.

The event isn’t exclusive to Comic-Con attendees, and while those in attendance at the fan event in Los Angeles have already secured invites, tickets will be available to purchase relatively soon.

For the rest of us, Star Trek Beyond hits theaters on July 22.
