Lucasfilm and J.J. Abrams are currently searching for stars to beef up their highly anticipated 'Star Wars: Episode 7.' 'The Host' star Saoirse Ronan recently confirmed she went in to read for a part, but clarifies that "everyone has auditioned for it." Still, she has now opened up about the process, teasing a small tidbit about a new character.

So far, tons of actors have reportedly read for or are eyeing roles in 'Star Wars: Episode 7,' including Michael B. Jordan, Benedict CumberbatchDavid Oyelowo, Rachel Hurd-Wood and Alex Pettyfer, though details on said parts were unclear. Ronan, however, did tease a small aspect of what her audition entailed.

Speaking with the Empire podcast, she said:

Yeah, I did [audition for Star Wars: Episode 7]… I don’t know whether I should have said that now! I mean, everyone did. Everyone has auditioned for it. So many people I know have gone in for the part I’ve gone in for, and guys who’ve gone in for a particular part, so I’d imagine J.J. is probably just scanning the earth to find the people that he needs.

But nobody has a clue what it’s about, and nobody’s read the script. So I’ve gone in and read for it, but I have to say, I think it’s the only time I’ve ever thought, ‘You know what? Even if I don’t get it, I had so much fun auditioning, pretending to take out a lightsaber – out of a bag, kind of inspect it and not know what it is. That was… that was great. A lightsaber! Star Wars!

So far, no 'Star Wars: Episode 7' castings have been officially announced by Lucasfilm, though George Lucas himself revealed that Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill would reprise their roles from the original trilogy. Samuel L. Jackson, Ewan McGregor, original C-3PO Anthony Daniels and original Chewbacca Peter Mayhew have also expressed interest in returning to the franchise.

'Star Wars: Episode 7' will kick off the new trilogy in 2015, with a slew of standalone original films coming in the years to follow. Stay tuned for more updates as they're revealed, but in the meantime, listen to the entire podcast with Ronan below.
