‘Star Wars’ Reveals Teaser for New Official Trailer

At long last, Lucasfilm and Disney finally revealed the first official poster for Star Wars: The Force Awakens this morning as we prepare for tomorrow’s big Star Wars-centric happenings, including a new trailer and the kick-off of ticket pre-sales. In addition, star John Boyega is helping to maintain our excitement by revealing a teaser for tomorrow’s full trailer.

Update #1: Lucasfilm has released a new teaser for tomorrow’s trailer. If any more teasers pop up today, we’ll be sure to share. The one below features new glimpses at Finn, Rey and Poe Dameron, as well as previously seen footage of BB-8.

Update #2: Disney and Lucasfilm have released a third teaser, this one featuring a brief moment with Poe Dameron and Finn:

Boyega posted the mysterious teaser on Instagram — it’s short, but it loops together pretty much seamlessly and appears to feature Boyega’s Finn character in silhouette against the sunset with a downed parachute nearby:

“Get ready,” he says. Are you ready? We are! This might not be the only teaser for the new trailer that we see today, so keep checking back for updates as we prepare for the reveal of the full trailer, dropping tomorrow night at halftime during ESPN’s Monday Night Football.

Ticket pre-sales will also begin tomorrow, and in addition to single tickets, tickets will also go on sale for the Star Wars Marathon at select theaters, which will lead into the first screenings of The Force Awakens on December 17. Those tickets will cost $50 for all seven movies, and while The Force Awakens will be presented in 3D, it will not be in IMAX (so, if you want to see The Force Awakens in IMAX, you’re going to have to purchase a separate ticket).
