Finally, the wait is over and the very first footage of Star Wars: The Last Jedi has arrived! If you haven’t already passed out or exploded into tiny specs of dust, congrats!

During The Last Jedi panel at Star Wars Celebration on Friday, Josh Gad hosted a panel featuring Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, director Rian Johnson, Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and newcomer Kelly Marie Tran. The cast and director shared brand new details about Episode VIII and a slew of new photos. (Read all about that here.) And after debuting the first stunning poster, dropped the very first trailer.

We’ll have a more detailed deep-dive into the trailer later, but upon first (and second, and third) look, it’s full of exciting reveals. Luke finally gets some dialogue, Rey gets to wield Luke’s lightsaber, Finn is back!, Poe is back!, BB-8 and R2 show up, Kylo Ren is not looking too happy, there’s a brief shot of Leia from behind, and a handful of thrilling bits of battle sequences.

The Last Jedi, which hits theaters on December 15, picks up right where The Force Awakens left off. We recently got some new details on the film when early footage was screened for Disney shareholders, which included a peek at Luke talking to Rey, a wobbly X-wing under attack, and appearances by Chewie, Finn, and Carrie Fisher‘s General Leia Organa.

Yesterday Hamill showed up at the 40th anniversary panel at Celebration alongside George Lucas, and Harrison Ford, among others. While holding back tears, Lucas spoke about Fisher and presented a touching tribute to the late actress. Stay tuned for more Star Wars news and updates as they roll out from Star Wars Celebration Orlando.
