Supercut of the “100 Greatest Movie Threats” Is More LOL Than Frightening

“Go ahead, make my day.” “I’ll get you my pretty, and your little dog, too.” “Darling… I’m not gonna hurt yah. I’m just gonna bash your brains in.” These are just some of the great lines that gave the greatest films of all time their gusto, their zest, their flavor. And, what’d yah know, they’ll all vicious threats meant to strike fear in the hearts of enemies.

When we heard these words while watching their corresponding scenes in movie theaters, lines like, “I hope you’ve saved room for my fist because I’m going to ram it into your stomach,” we secretly wet ourselves and made up some lie about moisture and sweat to tell our parents. Now these scripted movie threats have become so outlandish, after all the years of trying to top the ones before, that now they just make us double over with laughter. And they’re even funnier when you hear 100 of them played consecutively over an 11-minute supercut.

YouTube user Harry Hanrahan did what none of us thought to do, he compiled “The 100 Greatest Movie Threats of All Time” into a single video. Although it was released a couple months ago, in true internet style, it only recently went viral. Ours is probably, “I’m gonna give you three seconds, exactly three f—ing seconds, to wipe that stupid-looking grin off your face or I will gauge out your eyeballs and skullf—- you!”
