'Supernatural' "Man's Best Friends With Benefits" Preview: Sam and Dean Go to the Dogs

The CW

Last week's 'Supernatural' episode "Trial and Error" might have failed to impress with its 'Dallas'-riffing plotline, even with the introduction of the "trials" that will likely drive the remainder of the eighth season, but will this Wednesday's "Man's Best Friend With Benefits" turn things around? Sam and Dean will come face to face with an old case that seems to have fallen prey to witchcraft, but will they choose to intervene? Get a sneak peek of "Man's Best Friend With Benefits" inside!

'Supernatural's Sam and Dean Winchester might have been placed on the path to braving God's trials as outlined by the ancient tablets, but The CW series won't move on to the second trial just yet. This Wednesday's all-new episode "Man's Best Friend With Benefits" will see the brothers tangled up in witchcraft once more when an old friend begins imagining eerily real murders, but aiding a witch may go against the brothers' moral code.

From The CW's official press release:

DEAN REALLY DOESN’T LIKE WITCHES — A police officer named Kevin (guest star Christian Campbell), who turned to witchcraft after working a case with Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), is plagued by nightmares in which he murders innocent people. However, when the murders actually happen, Sam and Dean are called in by Kevin’s “familiar” (guest star Mishael Morgan) to help — but the brothers aren’t sure they want to save a witch.

Will Sam and Dean's latest case bring them any closer to banishing Crowley and the other demons off the face of the Earth? How will Dean adjust his outlook now that Sam has been chosen to undertake the three trials required to activate the tablet?
