It's been a good while since we've had 'Battlestar Galactica' mastermind Ron Moore back on TV full-time, but all that's about to change with the release of Moore's newest Syfy series 'Helix.' Produced by Sony Pictures TV and written by Cameron Porsandeh, Moore’s ‘Helix’  follows a team of scientists investigating a possible disease outbreak at an Arctic research facility, who find themselves trying to protect the world from annihilation.

Under show-runner Steven Maeda (‘LOST,’ ‘CSI:Miami’) the series has begun production for a late 2013 debut. Syfy officially released the first teaser trailer for the series, which promises some striking visuals and a deeply ominous tone. “With its well-drawn characters, taut drama, and incredible production team, we couldn’t be more excited to see this intense thrill-ride of a series come to life,” said Syfy president of original content Mark Stern in the most recent announcement.

'Helix' has officially been ordered to a 13-episode season, but what say you? Are you excited to see what Ron Moore's latest Syfy offering 'Helix' brings to the table? Check ou the teaser trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments!
