Ben Affleck was not nominated as Best Director for 'Argo' (a film that would later go on to win Best Picture at the Oscars) and lots of people thought this was a big problem. But if a former Reagan-era White House Analyst is to believed, Affleck may have an even bigger problem: being hanged for war crimes.

Terrence Malick's latest film 'To The Wonder' may have gotten a boost from this year's Oscars, as the film stars Ben Affleck, who just won best picture for 'Argo.' Will that get more people in the theaters this spring when the film opens? It seems unlikely, but we can't wait, regardless. Now there's a new trailer for the film.

'Argo' has a good chance of winning Best Picture at the Academy Awards this Sunday, and with all of the hype and box office success, you'd think that every angle of the Ben Affleck film would have been covered by now...but you'd be wrong!
Legendary comic book artist Jack Kirby was commissioned by CIA agent Tony Mendez to create concept art for his fake movie/rescue mission. However, Kirby (played by Michael Parks) only has one line in the film and his involvement in the project is limited to one scene. Now, his actual movie concept art created for the real-life 'Argo' project has been unearthed so you can see the full extent of his contributions.

While the British Academy of Film and Television may not have the international clout of the Oscars, they're still a big deal and can often drop some useful tidbits for all of the awards prognosticators out there. In this case, the BAFTA awards have only further propelled Ben Affleck's 'Argo' to the front of the pack.

You may have heard the rumors that Warner Bros. wanted Ben Affleck to direct their 'Justice League' movie. Quickly, Affleck let everyone know he had no intention of directing 'Justice League' and took the meeting with Warner Bros. (who released 'Argo') just to be polite. But now comes another wrinkle to the story. Warner Bros. didn't just want Ben Affleck to direct 'Justice League,' they also wanted him to star. As Batman.

Okay, this is just getting silly -- another major Hollywood award ceremony, another victory for Ben Affleck and 'Argo,' this time at the Director's Guild of America awards. If this was like any other year, Affleck would look like a shoe-in for the Oscar...except that he's not nominated. Which means that Affleck's repeated victories make this year's Academy Awards the hardest to predict in recent memory.

With each passing awards ceremony, the Academy's snubbing of Ben Affleck for Best Director looks increasingly ridiculous. Some thought that 'Argo' winning Best Picture and Best DIrector at the Golden Globes was something of a fluke, but now that the critically acclaimed box office hit has won big at the Producer's Guild of America awards, you may want to shuffle around your Oscar bets.

Along with a host of guest stars including Robin Williams and Ben Affleck, check out Damon's take-over of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' inside!
