Conan O'Brien

Conan O'Brien is growing weary of his talk-show hosting gig. The man wants to be an A-list movie star with a glitzy role in a juicy blockbuster, along with the respect of his peers and maybe even some awards acknowledgement. This, of course, is why O'Brien is starring in Syfy's 'Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda.'

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery -- we all know that -- but that doesn't mean that the person (or in this case, the thing) being imitated needs to acknowledge the weirdness of being, well, completely copied. 'Breaking Bad' hasn't even been off the air for a year now, and already imitation series are popping up around the globe...

On last night's 'Conan,' host Conan O'Brien and Andy Serkis talked quite a bit about some of his best roles, which Serkis then gleefully imitated for the entire crowd. Ever wonder what it would sound like if Gollum and Caesar the ape had a chat? Wonder no more.

Ice-T is a serious dude. He's serious about music, movies, 'Law and Order,' and also video games, particularly online shooting games, like Call of Duty. But the best part? He does not have a problem telling anyone -- even Conan O'Brien -- to just move out of his damn way when he and his "clan" come through (admittedly, they do have a pretty cool name, which Ice is not afraid to share).

We thought we were on the ball with "Everything You Need to Know in 60 Seconds," but Conan O'Brien one-upped us -- he recapped the 'Game of Thrones' season 4 finale in only six!

Jonah Hill might want to work on his betting skills because he doesn't appear to understand the mechanics of it. The '22 Jump Street' star hit 'Conan' last night, alongside the other half of the burgeoning franchise's all-star comedic duo, Channing Tatum, to share some very weird (and very x-rated) tidbits about a bet the pair made quite awhile ago.

We almost lost Tom Cruise, you guys. The action star's latest film, 'Edge of Tomorrow,' opens this week, and Cruise and his co-star Emily Blunt have been hitting the late night talk show trail pretty hard to talk about their very fun, very action-heavy outing...

You may have heard that they are making a new 'Star Wars' film -- actually, they're making a whole mess of new 'Star Wars' films, but you get the drift. Even if you're well aware of the production, you probably don't react to any bit of news about the film in the same way as Conan O'Brien's all-grunting, all-groaning 'Star Wars' Nerdgasm Choir, making their debut on last night's 'Conan.'

This may sound hard to believe, but back when Conan O'Brien arrived in Los Angeles as a starry-eyed (and possibly starving) television writer about three decades ago, gigs weren't just raining from the sky. The future late-night host had to take on some strange bits to make ends meet, including popping up in this NAMM (that's National Association of Music Merchants, in case you're not hip to esoteric professional groups) training video as the "opinionated type of customer."

Although we don't know what's going to happen to CBS' 'The Late Late Show' after Craig Ferguson steps down from the gig later this year, comedian Norm Macdonald sure knows what he wants to happen. He wants that job! Mainly because the former 'SNL' star thinks it's kind of an easy position to fill. Could he possibly be right?
