While we anxiously await David Fincher's follow-up to 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,' the director is re-teaming with that film's visual effects lead to produce the trailer for the long-awaited 'Halo 4' from Microsoft.
David Fincher has his pick of projects and has been attached to a number of different films over the past few years. But it appears that the director has now exited what might have been the highest-profile one of them all.
One of the 2011's most hyped films was David Fincher's 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.' An adaptation of the hit novel (and remake of the Swedish film), it was hoped that Fincher and company would be adapting the trilogy of books for the big screen. But the follow up, 'The Girl Who Played With Fire,' won't be ready until 2014 at the earliest.
Because David Fincher's 'The Game' was made for the long-defunct Polygram Filmed Entertainment, its home video rights have been rocky. The studio released it on DVD at the format's inception, while Universal released the film on HD-DVD, but has yet to release a Blu-ray. Criterion - who put the film out on Laserdisc - has now set the film for a DVD and Blu-ray release. That and more are coming from the boutique company in September.
Vulture picked up a set of alleged pre-production photos from the set of David Fincher's remake of 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.' The images come courtesy of someone on Reddit, and show a more punky looking concept of Mara as hacker Lisbeth Salander. Fewer piercings and more tame makeup paint this version of Salander as slightly accessible, which makes the final choice for her appearance in the film infinitely more engaging in comparison. So what does the early version of Lisbeth look like?
