Admittedly, we'd have likely tuned in for CBS' upcoming Shawn Ryan-helmed 'Beverly Hills Cop' TV series regardless of who from the film franchise cast put in an appearance, but we're glad to see Eddie Murphy won't be shoving bananas into tailpipes all by his lonesome. At long last, it seems Judge Reinhold has signed on to reprise his role as Billy Rosewood for the upcoming pilot, but have the years been as good to Billy as they have to Axel Foley? And where does young Aaron fit in?

Not long ago, Eddie Murphy and a marginally talented director set out to make a live-action version of the classic cartoon 'Hong Kong Phooey.' This test footage is all that remains of that fateful journey.
That 'Twins' sequel is still happening -- 'Triplets,' starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Danny DeVito, and Eddie Murphy, has just landed two interesting writers.
Axel Foley, meet Alpa Chino. A little over a month ago we heard that CBS was looking to develop a new TV series based on the classic 'Beverly Hills Cop' franchise, not a re-boot or an adaptation mind you, but an all-new series focusing on the legendary police officer's son! And while the jury's still out on whether or not Eddie Murphy would reprise his iconic character for the TV series, we've just learned that 'Tropic Thunder' star Brandon T. Jackson may be our new, younger 'Beverly Hills Cop,' Aaron Foley!
CBS certainly seems to be making power-plays for more high-profile content these days, with the eye network likely to snag Robin Williams' upcoming TV deal should the project go to series. Certainly a few big gets were needed after NBC picked up Michael J. Fox's big return to TV, but will 'Beverly Hills Cop' be just the shot in the tailpipe CBS needs to keep its spot as the number-one rated network?
If you were a child of the 1980's, chances are that you love Eddie Murphy. You can probably recite much of his stand up from his special 'Delirious' ("Lemonade... that cool refreshing drink") or bits from 'Trading Places' or 'Beverly Hills Cop' by heart. And though Eddie Murphy has spent much of the last two decades disappointing fans on the big screen, it looks like he may be taking his biggest franchise to the small screen.
Arnold Schwarzenegger continues to ease back into acting following a lengthy political career. He’s getting his feet wet with standard action fare like ‘Expendables’ installments and the upcoming ‘The Last Stand.’ But the Muscles from Brussels also used to dabble in comedy, and he opened up about plans to do a ‘Twins’ feature during a recent interview.
1988's 'Twins' was a huge success, partly because of the unnatural pairing of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito as test tube brothers. The film itself is pretty unmemorable, other than it showed that Arnie was bulletproof at the box office at the time. Well, that high concept is about to get higher as Universal is moving forward with a sequel called 'Triplets' which would add Eddie Murphy to the mix. Audible groan.
One could try to figure out the many reasons as to why a movie like 'A Thousand Words' didn't work for audiences nationwide this past weekend. Normally there's a few factors that go into it, whether it'd be the acting, direction or script. For 'A Thousand Words' it was all of the above as the Eddie Murphy picture not only did poorly on it's opening weekend but was critically panned. And now it may go down in history as the worst reviewed movie of all time.
