A few weeks back, the shortlist of directors up for 'Snow White and the Huntsman 2' was made public and it looks like Universal has now made their choice: Frank Darabont, best known for the much beloved 'The Shawshank Redemption,' is currently in talks to helm the film.

The Marvel and 'Star Wars' movie universes have been busy lining up and sorting out directors, but there's another potentially interesting major project that's looking to put a name in the director's chair: Universal is currently seeking a director for 'Snow White and the Huntsman 2,' and the names on their shortlist are intriguing.

Excited though we were to see ousted 'Walking Dead' showrunner Frank Darabont take his talents to TNT for its impressive period drama 'Mob City,' we certainly saw this coming. Despite its six-episode "limited series" billing, TNT has officially declined to produce any additional episodes of the Jon Bernthal-starring drama, effectively canceling 'Mob City' and its Hollywood dreams.

Just when you thought 'The Walking Dead''s latest season renewal had gone by without the showrunner shakeups so often associated with the series, it seems the AMC monster drama has a new problem on its hands. 'The Walking Dead''s original showrunner and co-creator Frank Darabont has hit AMC with a lawsuit alleging that the network defaulted on upwards of $10 million in royalties. Merry Christmas to all!

'The Walking Dead's most recent season 5 renewal came and went with surprisingly little fanfare, the only perhaps unexpected development being that showrunner Scott Gimple would stay on for another year, given all the behind-the-scenes turmoil of previous years. Now, original showrunner Frank Darabont has opened up about AMC's frank dismissal (get it?), calling the network executives "sociopaths," and refusing to watch the series.

It's here! It changed its name again, but it's finally here! The first trailer for Frank Darabont's TNT crime drama 'Mob City' (formerly 'Lost Angels,' 'L.A. Noir') has finally arrived, and proven every bit as gritty and cool as we'd hoped. The cable network has begun billing 'Mob City' as an "event series" with a December 4 premiere though, so might this be our only stay in 'Mob City?'

'24' fans still eagerly await news of the first castings from 2014 revival '24: Live Another Day,' but for now, we can take comfort in the fact that one of its fan-favorite fallen characters is returning to TV. Louis Lombardi has joined the ranks of TNT's forthcoming period noir drama 'Lost Angels' (formerly ‘L.A. Noir‘) in an important recurring role, though the series has yet to set an official premiere date.
