Ranking the Films of Tim Burton
The release of ‘Big Eyes’ marks the 17th film of director Tim Burton and one of the biggest departures in his 30 year career as a feature filmmaker. A seemingly straightforward drama about painter Margaret Keane, the movie sees one of the most fantastical filmmakers in the world making a rare trip back down to Earth. To mark the occasion, we delved into Burton’s filmography with one mission: to rank his films from worst to best. Some choices were easy (he’s made some really lousy films) and others were difficult (he’s made a handful of genuinely great movies), and through it all, he proved to be fascinating, often maddening subject. Weekend Box Office Report: The Box Office Gets ‘Taken’
'Taken' was the surprise hit of 2009, a January dump that inexplicably made nearly $150 million in the United States and transformed Liam Neeson into an instant action star. Three years later, 'Taken 2' has arrived in theaters on a primo release date and with an advertising campaign that probably cost more than the entire first movie. Tim Burton's 'Frankenweenie' opens tomorrow, and we've already seen and reviewed it. ‘Frankenweenie’ Review
"Your dog is Aliiiiiive!" Surely you've heard the soundbyte from 'Frankenweenie.' A hunched-over, snaggle-toothed, black and white Edgar "E" Gore, mischief in his eyes and a half-assed Peter Lorre in his voice. It's spooky and it's ooky and it's either the type of thing that you find really played-out or brings a tickle to your heart.

If Tim Burton's 'Frankenweenie' is about the ghoulish things that children love, those kids may be surprised that the film features something that's actually terrifying: Substitute teachers. In this new clip from the film, we see Martin Landau's Mr. Ryzkruski talk about lightning.
