The original 'RoboCop' remains a classic for a number of reasons, and one of them is the film's wonderful cast of memorable character actors. Since the remake needs as much help as it can get to live up to the gold standard of the film it's rebooting, it has followed suit and jammed as many high-quality thespians into the production as humanly possible. A new gallery of images has premiered, and rather than show off fancy CGI or action, they serve as a reminder that 'RoboCop' inexplicably has one of the best casts of 2014.

Luc Besson's 'The Professional' (also known as 'Leon') was released in 1994, and though he made it on the fly while production was delayed on the more time-consuming and costly 'The Fifth Element,' it is widely considered to be the superior film. 'The Professional' stars Jean Reno as a hit man who takes in a 12-year-old girl (Natalie Portman, in her feature debut) when her family is murdered in a police raid. Almost 20 years after the film's release, we take a look back at the cast of this thriller and see what they're up to now.

'Paranoia' Review

While explaining his business model to the soon-to-be corporate spy Adam Cassidy (Liam Hemsworth), tech magnate Nicolas Wyatt (Gary Oldman) relays a timeless adage: "Good artists copy. Great artists steal." That puts 'Paranoia' director Robert Luketic somewhere between the two superlatives, constructing his smart phone-enabled thriller out of every existing blueprint in history while winding up with an entertaining, functional finished product. The twists are inevitable, the turns come from a mile away, but a surprisingly charming and humble Hemsworth (no brooding 'Hunger Games' machismo here) becomes a reliable interface for the old mechanics. It makes sense to pair him with the aging Harrison Ford — if Hemsworth was around in the '70s, the two would be competing for all the same roles.

'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,' and the new approach to the 'PotA' films is decidedly different than the tact taken in the 1970's. There, each sequel was given a smaller and smaller budget and with fewer name talents. Not so with 'Dawn,' as it just added Gary Oldman to the cast.

'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' Sequel Is Progressing "As We Speak"

'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' did wonders for Gary Oldman back in 2011. Although 'The Dark Knight Rises' gave him ample footing to take on the upcoming 'RoboCop' remake, the Tomas Alfredson-directed spy flick gave him his first ever Oscar nomination for Best Actor. Plus, it raked in some big box office numbers for the year. So talk of a sequel is only natural, but do we really need one?
While updates on a 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' sequel has been quiet for the most part, producer Eric Fellner has confirmed work is progressing "as we speak" on the next installment. But where might the story go?

There's a long-ish line of directors who look exactly like the on-screen stars -- the one that immediately comes to mind is Damon Lindelof and Joey Lawrence from 'Blossom.' Now, we've stumbled on another pair after the news broke that 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' found its director... for the second time.

Shia LaBeouf is trying hard to be a badass -- first with his music video where he shook his bojangles at us, and secondly with scoring the role in the upcoming action flick 'Lawless.' We did get a glimpse of him in the official movie trailer along with 'Dark Knight' alumni Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy, but The Weinstein Company recently released seven brand new character posters that gave us an even closer look at how the 'Transformers' star plans on embodying his new role.
