Just one week after Louis C.K. expressed his disdain for SNL’s flashy new promos, the originals are back! Jimmy Fallon and Harry Styles take us into SNL’s first live coast-to-coast shows, snapping it up in multiple promos for Saturday’s latest.

If perhaps SNL seemed to be sleeping on the job with its two-hosts-per-month in 2017, they had good reason. Not only have the final four hosts been announced, including Jimmy Fallon, Melissa McCarthy and The Rock, but shows will air live across the country for the first time in history.

The Golden Globes are underway, but if you missed the show’s big opening number, you can watch it right now, right here. Host Jimmy Fallon paid homage to one of this year’s big nominees, La La Land, with a musical number inspired by the film’s grand opening, where a whole bunch of people trapped in a Los Angeles traffic jam leap from their cars in a big song-and-dance routine. Fallon’s version, of course, included Stormtroopers from Star Wars, Game of Thrones jokes, and a whole lot more. Take a look:

We’ve still got 15 days on the clock until the wait for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story comes to an end. And while fans can kill the next couple of weeks watching the two-and-a-half-minute trailer approximately 8,600 times, there are better ways to run out the clock, and of course I don’t mean “going outside” or “talking to another person.” Felicity Jones, out on the publicity circuit to talk up the impending release of Rogue One, sat down with late-night talk show host/overgrown summer camp counselor Jimmy Fallon last night. The actress showed off some of the moves she picked up during her martial arts training for the film, and then Fallon casually introduced the first official clip of footage from Rogue One as if he wasn’t giving fans simultaneous heart attacks across the globe.

Few would suggest current SNL Weekend Update team Colin Jost and Michael Che as the segment’s peak, likely putting past pairs like Tina Fey and Jimmy Fallon higher on the list. The two even made an unexpected return to the desk this weekend, but not exactly as we remember them.

Let’s face it – if any late-night host was going to take the initiative on a Stranger Things parody with the actual cast, it was Jimmy Fallon. So it is, that the young stars reprised their roles for a Tonight Show sketch, wherein the long-lost Barb finally gets her own justice.

Following in the footsteps of his former SNL pals Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Jimmy Fallon will host the 2017 Golden Globes — which should also provide a respite from the antics of Ricky Gervais, for those of you who were growing a little weary of his schtick. The big question now is whether or not Fallon can make it through the awards ceremony without laughing.

Relieved though we are to have all those Jon Snow shenanigans behind us on Game of Thrones, we’ll admit that stars and producers did an admirable job clinging to the barely-there secrecy of Kit Harington’s return. Well, all except Harington himself, perhaps, who apparently spoiled the good news to a police officer in exchange for getting off with a warning.

Back in those optimistic days of 2015, SNL made a trumpeting announcement that Taran Killam would succeed series vet Darrell Hammond under Donald Trump’s famous hair, though the impression seemed to have been retired with the presidential candidate’s actual hosting. Hammond has resumed the role ever since, with Killam shifting into the role of Texas senator Ted Cruz, though it seems SNL had in mind to tap Jimmy Fallon’s Trump impression in December, before returning the role to Hammond.

When you’re out promoting a movie, you’re often asked to do a lot of things, most of them pretty silly. With the amount of press the cast of Star Wars: The Force Awakens was being asked to do, there were asked to do a lot of silly things, none perhaps as silly as going on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and singing a medley of Star Wars music a cappella. But the entire cast — including Harrison Ford! — actually commits, and it actually turns out to pretty fun.
