Long before Joss Whedon made the hit TV show 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer,' he wrote the film of the same name -- released in 1992, 'Buffy' follows Kristy Swanson as the titular heroine, a cheerleader who discovers that it is her destiny to hunt and kill vampires. Co-starring Luke Perry and Donald Sutherland, the film was a moderate success, though it's often forgotten in the shadow of Whedon's wildly popular TV show starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. Twenty-two years later, we take a look back at the cast of this '90s classic and see what they're up to now.

Regardless of the mixed reception Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' has come to endure, there remains the exciting prospect of Marvel's TV future, especially with possibly four new series on the way. Getting 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' off the ground was no easy feat, however, as Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb recently opened up about Guillermo del Toro's failed 'Hulk' series, and the big names in the running for future Marvel TV.

It’s here, it’s really here! Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ has at long last premiered its pilot episode, bringing Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) back from his ‘Avengers’ fate to lead an entirely new team through weird and wonderful cases of the Marvel universe. We’ve spoken at length about measuring our expectations, as well as how the series will integrate with the larger Marvel movies, but how does the premiere ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' pilot finally stack up? Is Marvel’s first live-action series a hit or miss?

We are about to enter a weird new world. For many of us, this will be as simple as flipping over to ABC tonight at 8:00, listening in for some snappy banter and thrilling heroics, ultimately leaving it lay for another week while Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ gears up for its next chapter. For others (myself included), ABC’s new series represents a first step into a much larger universe, wherein the rope has been pulled back on a cinematic enterprise previously reserved for our film friends to debate, at least until the latest Marvel venture hits theaters and restarts a slow boil toward the next feature all over again.

Joss Whedon's 'The Avengers 2,' titled 'Age of Ultron,' is the most-anticipated film of summer 2015 -- aside from Zack Snyder's 'Batman vs. Superman,' of course. Production on the sequel is set to kick off in 2014, and you could be there in person to witness the action firsthand.
