Man of Steel

In 'Man of Steel,' Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twentysomething who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. He was sent here to Earth many years ago from the planet Krypton and has since struggled with the question, "Why am I here?" His adoptive parents - Martha and Jonathan Kent (Diane Lane and Kevin Costner) - have helped shape his values but soon Clark will discover that his super powers means he also has to make very difficult decisions. When Earth comes under attack from a fellow Kryptonian named Zod, Clark must become the hero called Superman, the hope the world needs and the protector of the ones he loves.

But, if you think Batman vs. Superman is just another Man of Steel movie, Superman himself, Henry Cavill, says you’re wrong.

For better or worse, Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel took more than a few pages from the Christopher Nolan school of superhero filmmaking, placing Superman and his foes in a bleak, gray world.
