Rest easy, fans of NBC's 'The Office.' As the show moves into a ninth season with a seemingly ever-changing roster, some new and some returned, one dark spot it seemed was that the perpetually vain Kelly Kapoor (Mindy Kaling) would depart, given the actress' new FOX show. Commands to abandon ship are premature however, as Kaling isn't gone just yet! But, with a full schedule on another network, just how long can Mindy Kaling stop by 'The Office' this year?
Not one to be outdone by all of NBC's fancy new trailers and announcements at their Upfront presentation today, FOX has decided to get in on the game (on the heels of their big 'Glee' announcement) by releasing a first-look trailer at Mindy Kaling's upcoming sitcom, titled (for now) 'The Mindy Project.' But what 'The Office' and 'SNL' alum show their faces?
Whoops! Looks like a bit of an appropriately messy stumble for Mindy Kaling's recently-picked up FOX sitcom 'It's Messy,' which to date has been one of the more promising pilots of the season. The project went untitled until being announced for pickup in advance of FOX's Upfront presentation, but now it seems that even 'It's Messy' isn't going to cut it. So what's the show being called now?
Well, it's not all bad news. As shows like 'Breaking In,' 'Alcatraz,' and 'The Finder' fall by the wayside, FOX has given life to at least five new series for the coming season. But of the five currently approved for season orders, what might some castings mean for actors currently engaged on on other shows?
