We last left Marshall in something of a pickle, so what happens when Barney comes to the rescue in the latest clips and photos?

'Smurfs 2' Review

'Smurfs 2' is pretty much unbearable, but then again I am a guy with no children whose favorite 2013 so far is a toss-up between 'Stoker' and 'Only God Forgives.' To paraphrase Roger Ebert, I’m as sure of the fact that there is an audience for this sequel as I am that I’m not a member of it, but does that excuse how overmodulated and mind-obliteratingly stupid Raja Gosnell’s sequel is? It seems like it can’t. And yet, there’s a massive difference between abominable entertainment made for “everybody” and abominable entertainment made mostly for kids. All of which is why 'Smurfs 2' is the kind of terrible that almost deserves to be excused, because it’s designed to make children laugh at stupid hijinks with bright colors and broad gags rather than tell a story that anyone over the age of five hasn’t seen 5,000 times before, much less care about.

More and more each year, the hardcore San Diego Comic-Con loyalists bemoan the presence of TV and movies that have little to do with comics or comic culture at large, but in this case, we don't mind one bit. 'How I Met Your Mother' will make its first (and only) appearance as a panel at Comic-Con 2013,  but which stars will be in attendance, and what can we see from the final season?

For as much as we loved late-night host and Hollywood personality Jimmy Kimmel's turn hosting the 2012 Emmy Awards, the newest host for 2013's award ceremony is hardly a step down. 'How I Met Your Mother' star Neil Patrick Harris will host the CBS award ceremony for a second year, months after his turn hosting the 2013 Tony Awards, but can NPH dazzle us a second time?

It was revealed today that Universal has agreed to co-finance Seth MacFarlane's upcoming Western comedy, 'A Million Ways to Die in the West,' finally putting the film on the fast track to production. After all, MacFarlane's 'Ted' shattered all expectations at the box office last year, so they'd be foolish not to. Also hidden away in the announcement: Neil Patrick Harris has joined the cast, adding another great name to a shockingly solid ensemble.

It might be among the worst-kept secrets in TV about now, though while neither CBS nor 'How I Met Your Mother' series creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas have issued an official statement about the long-running comedy continuing on for a ninth and final season, series stars Josh Radnor and Neil Patrick Harris were all-too-happy to speak about the additional year. Will 'How I Met Your Mother' season 9 stall the titular meeting, or make for a better ending? Find out what Ted and Barney themselves have to say inside!
