Many moons ago, a lifetime in Internet-land, ‘The Walking Dead’ courted a bit of faux-scandal in interview comments that saw creator Robert Kirkman acknowledging the possibility of the seemingly asexual Daryl Dixon to emerge as a gay character. Despite the unlikelihood of the AMC horror-drama devoting any real time to the matter, now Kirkman has opened up on Daryl’s sexuality to finally set the record…well, straight.
‘The Walking Dead’ season 5 brings to life its 1st episode with “No Sanctuary,” as Rick and the other survivors learn the true nature of Terminus, while Carol attempts to aid her friends in escaping the villainous compound, and Tyreese comes to grips with the brutal reality of a new threat.
'Stretch' has gone through a bit of a rough period. The film, directed by Joe Carnahan and produced by Jason Blum, was originally set for a theatrical premiere back in March, but Universal Studios decided to drop it from its release slate, choosing to utilize other creative methods. Now, with an Amazon and iTunes release on October 7, and a VOD release on October 14, the first 'Stetch' trailer has debuted online.
It's been a few weeks since we've seen very much from 'The Walking Dead' season 5, at least after the inaugural round of context-less character photos, but no more! Rick and the other trapped Terminus folk are finding "No Sanctuary" in the full gallery of October 12 premiere photos, and their grill-happy captors are definitely screwing with the wrong people, by the looks of things.
'The Walking Dead' won't shamble out its fifth season premiere "No Sanctuary" for another month at least, but even the Comic-Con 2014 trailer didn't mind telling us that Rick and the rest of the "A" car won't be holed up in Terminus forever. To wit, the AMC horror drama has released a plethora of new character portraits for the season, with some surprising season 5 reunions, and more than a few questionable omissions!
A few weeks ago, 'The Walking Dead' fans found themselves faced with the question of Daryl Dixon's sexuality, after vague quotes from series creator Robert Kirkman addressed potential for the crossbow-wielding warrior to be revealed as gay. We had a fairly hammy response to the idea, but now showrunner Scott Gimple has stepped up to deliver his own thoughts on Daryl's ambiguous sexuality, promising a separate gay character to come in season 5.
'The Walking Dead' creator Robert Kirkman hints that fan-favorite AMC character Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) might actually be gay, though we have a slightly hammier theory to put forth.
Guillermo del Toro is one of the busiest men in Hollywood, working on everything from his horror film 'Crimson Peak' to 'Pacific Rim 2' to even conceiving scripts for projects not officially signed off on, like his 'Justice League Dark.' Now, the master of the fantastical is developing a new 'Silent Hill' video game, called Silent Hills, and 'The Walking Dead' heartthrob Norman Reedus is leading the charge.
AMC's ‘The Walking Dead‘ will be back on our TV screens for season 5 before long, but before Rick, Daryl and the rest show the hungry people of Terminus who they're screwing with, we could use some light refreshment. Before the world ends (again), feast your eyes on everything you need to know about AMC's 'The Walking Dead’ in 60 seconds!
