It's been quite some time since we've heard anything new about 'Zombieland 2,' the sequel to 2009's hit horror comedy 'Zombieland,' starring Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, and Woody Harrelson. But it seems like the sequel is finally ready to shamble its way into development, as it's officially hired writer Dave Callaham to pen the script, with original director Ruben Fleischer on board to return.
There have been rumors that 'Man of Steel' director Zack Snyder and Ruben Fleischer ('Zombieland') were frontrunners to direct Warner Bros. planned 'Justice League' movie. Today, we spoke with Fleischer about those rumors and asked about whether he still has his eyes set on 'Justice League' he revealed he's no longer in the running. And why? Because he says Snyder already has the job.
The long-in-development film adaptation of 'Spy Hunter' just got new life at Warner Brothers, as they've just hired a new writer, and put director Ruben Fleischer in the driver's seat.
Though it might still be missing a release date, Ruben Fleischer's 'Gangster Squad' now has a trailer, which features Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling chasing Sean Penn's Mickey Cohen through Los Angeles. It's more than likely this will be attached to 'Dark Shadows' this weekend, but if you don't want to wait, the trailer's here.
It's hard to know what to make of Warner Brothers fiddling with their schedule right now. But they've just moved 'Argo' - which stars and was directed by Ben Affleck - from its September 14 release date to October 12. Meanwhile 'Gangster Squad,' the Ruben Fleischer-directed gangster films with Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling and Josh Brolin, got moved off the October date and is now unscheduled.
