Sam Raimi's 'Oz: The Great and Powerful' begs one essential question: Which witch will become the infamous Wicked Witch of the West? While we all know Michelle Williams, who plays Glinda in this 'Wizard of Oz' origin story, won't be taking to the broom anytime soon, there's still the pair of sister witches, played by Rachel Weisz and Mila Kunis, to worry about. It's hard to be a film fan and not love Sam Raimi's 1981 horror movie 'The Evil Dead.' Not only did it kick off the career of one of the great geeks heroes of cinema, it's one of those scrappy no-budget classics that gets over because of the sheer willpower of the director and the ethos that any character can die at any time. It seems like an untouchable classic. But watching the red band trailer for Fede Alvarez's remake 'Evil Dead?' We're sold on this remake.

We're getting closer to the big debut of Sam Raimi's 'The Wizard of Oz' prequel, 'Oz: The Great and Powerful,' which also means we're getting closer to finally answering that one question that's plagued the fans' minds: who is the Wicked Witch of the West?
Perhaps now, we're a bit closer to discovering the answer as a brand-new 'Oz' poster has just arrived featuring the green-skinned menace of Oz herself.

Sam Raimi Drops Out of 'World Of Warcraft' Film

Sam Raimi had been developing a ‘World of Warcraft’ film for years, even getting to the point where he and screenwriter Robert Rodat (‘Saving Private Ryan’) had an estimated 40 pages of material but had yet to figure out the full narrative. Sadly, we’ll never get to see Raimi’s version, because the director says he’s off the project.
