Back in November, Late Night With Seth Meyers took on Aaron Sorkin with their own spectacular send up of the television visionary and his special brand of entertainment. Last night, they took that wit and went straight to the heart of The Black List. Sort of.

Imagine you’re asked to appear as an extra in a new movie. Also imagine you’re told but a handful of things about the movie: that it’s set in the seventies, that it stars Burt Reynolds, and that you just need to clap a lot during some sort of awards show scene.

The holiday season can be particularly trying for plenty of people, but there is a certain subset of living things we might often forget need some extra love when the weather turns cold. Trees. Mark Wahlberg has starred in a hefty number of effects-laden films—‘Transformers,’ anyone?—but the actor remains exceedingly well-known for a single movie prop. We’ll give you a hint: it’s from ‘Boogie Nights.’ It’s large. It’s unwieldy. Fine, it’s the prosthetic man-part that Wahlberg wore for most of the feature, and it’s the only prop he’s ever kept.

‘Late Night’ host Seth Meyers’ Second Chance Theatre—a second home for the ‘SNL’ skits that never were—has so far given a playground to some wild stuff, but former ‘SNL’ star Jason Sudeikis had something a little more lo-fi in mind for his spin on the ol’ Second Chance-mobile. You can practically hear the pitch meeting: “It’s about a guy who wants to give juggling lessons, but everyone hates him.” Simple enough, right?

John Goodman has hosted ‘Saturday Night Live’ a lot—13 times, to be precise—and the veteran actor has seen plenty of sketches come and go, including a few that probably just couldn’t be salvaged (even if they did star Will Ferrell and/or a bunch of very expensive chairs). On last night’s ‘Late Night,’ Goodman shared some of his very favorites with host (and former ‘SNL’ co-writer) Seth Myers.

The always-welcome weirdness of Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein’s IFC ‘Portlandia’ will return in 2015 for its fifth season (might it be the last?) on January 8, and this season might be the biggest yet. The first full trailer for ‘Portlandia’ season 5 has eco-biked its way down the hill, bringing an “epic” tone and more guest stars than we can rightly shake an organic celery stalk at.

Wait, no, no, we were wrong, because Seth Meyers has just breathed spectacular new life into the Aaron Sorkin sketch, thanks to a cleverly designed send-up from last night's episode of 'Late Night With Seth Meyers.'

Here's a terrifying idea: what if you thought that your apartment was haunted by various ghosties, only to learn that it was you specifically that was haunted by, well, just various ghosties. This is the apparent pickle that 'SNL' star Cecily Strong finds herself in, as a medium recently advised the comedienne that her "lack of boundaries" means that she's bringing home all kinds of weird spiritual stuff. O...kay.
