Before his career hit a bump in the mid-00s, Vin Diesel was looking like the next big action star, his generation's answer to Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sylvester Stallone. At the height of his power, he started talking up his dream project: the story of Hannibal of Carthage, the daring general who marched across the Alps to challenge the Roman Empire. After lying dormant for quite some time, it looks like this historical epic may have life in it yet.

'Fast and Furious 7' - Everything We Know About The Upcoming Sequel

No one could have believed, after the generic engine revving of 2009’s 'Fast & Furious' that we still would be talking about the box-office muscle of 'Fast and Furious 6' while also eagerly anticipating 'Fast and Furious 7' in the ongoing stories of Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) and his chrome-domed partner in crime, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel).
But that’s what happens when a modern action saga generates nearly $2 billion in worldwide ticket sales – improving its critical response with each passing sequel. It’s no surprise that Universal wants to keep the pedal on the proverbial metal when it comes to ‘Fast’ films. What shocks us is the fact that this franchise hasn’t crashed and burned. Yet.
With 'Fast and Furious 6' opening to an estimated $98M over Memorial Day weekend, Universal’s decision to move ahead on the as-yet-untitled 'Fast and Furious 7' seems like a brilliant move. Audiences obviously haven’t tired of the high-speed adventures of this road crew. ‘Fast and Furious 7’ is racing towards theaters. What do we already know about the sequel?

'Fast and Furious 6' Review

'Fast Five' attempted - and quite successfully I might add - a reboot of sorts for the entire 'Fast and Furious' franchise, turning a series of movies about car racing into one exciting heist film. It was big and brash and sweaty and a complete success. So where do you go from there? 'Fast and Furious 6' attempts to answer that question by adding an -er suffix to all those adjectives above. Bigger, brasher, sweatier.
'Fast and Furious 6' is like 'Fast Five' on nitrous - director Justin Lin hits that proverbial turbo boost to go bigger, faster, stronger - and at times, that is a great thing. But when the NOS runs out, the drag race just turns into a drag.

(For those actors/characters who weren't in the earlier films, we found photos of them from back when 'The Fast and the Furious' debuted.) Read on to see what your favorite cast members looked like then and what they're up to now.
