The 'Die Hard 5' poster is here and we know that not from the title of the film -'A Good Day to Die Hard' - which is conspicuously absent but from the giant close up of Bruce Willis and his trademark catchphrase.
A Good Day to Die Hard
'Die Hard 5' ('A Good Day to Die Hard' if you must) introduced itself to the world with the first image from the movie and today we get the first 'Die Hard 5' trailer. Yup, John McClane is back.
'Die Hard 5' (or 'A Good Day to Die Hard' as it's properly known) is an actual movie that's actually happening. We would've thought 'Live Free or Die Hard' would've been the end of the franchise but after spending time with his daughter, John McClane (Bruce Willis) is back to team up with his son, Jack McClane, in 'Die Hard 5.' And now you can get a first look at the McClane boys in action.
Stars making fun of their image on late night talk shows is nothing new, but there's something special about watching a macho tough guy like Bruce Willis skewer himself for night owl television audiences. On last night's Late Show with David Letterman, Willis claimed to have a clip from the recently wrapped fifth 'Die Hard' film (titled 'A Good Day to Die Hard'), but it was really...well, just scroll on down and see for yourself.
Ever since ‘With a Vengeance,’ the ‘Die Hard’ sequels have focused on whom John McClane (Bruce Willis) could be paired with as he attempted to take down the terrorist flavor-of-the-month. Samuel L. Jackson gave way to Justin Long and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, playing McClane’s grown-up daughter Lucy. And while the ‘A Good Day to Die Hard’ plans to focus on McClane’s son John (Jai Courtney), new photos posted show Winstead back… in a limited role, at least.
Bruce Willis has five movies due in theaters between now and the end of the year. The parade of films starts with Wes Anderson’s ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ and ends with ‘Looper,’ Rian Johnson’s time-traveling thriller. In between, he’ll co-star in a few massive summer blockbusters and continue filming a fifth ‘Die Hard’ movie. But he has little interest in talking about those efforts in this fascinating new interview, though he does reveal which of his films is his favorite. (You won’t be able to guess which one it is.)
Though filming is under way, 'A Good Day to Die Hard' - the fifth film in the 'Die Hard' franchise - just added Cole Hauser as their main baddie. Hauser is best known for his supporting work in films like 'Pitch Black,' 'Dazed and Confused,' 'Good Will Hunting' and - to bad movie lovers everywhere - the villain in '2 Fast 2 Furious.'
