No one was exactly surprised to hear that 'Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23' had been pulled from the ABC schedule, effectively cancelling the series, but the timing of the show's removal may yet have produced a bit of good luck. Series lead Krysten Ritter has reportedly landed the lead role in forthcoming NBC pilot 'Assistance,' to be executive produced by FunnyOrDie founders Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, but will Ritter have better luck this time around? Sadly, outside of the occasional Old Milwaukee commercial, occasional 'SNL' appearance, or maybe even the latest episode of 'Bitch Hunter,' we're unlikely to see Will Ferrell take any regular presence on the small screen again.  That's okay though, considering the imminent arrival of 'Anchorman 2' with director Adam McKay, and an upcoming NBC series with both behind the camera!  And hey, why not throw in a little Anne Heche for good measure?  Who's ready for 'Bad Judge?'

Though 'Anchorman 2' isn't due out until sometime next year, and shooting has yet to commence, the script is being worked on and writer/director Adam McKay was out promoting something else when the sequel came up. Every director out there has his or her dream project that they hope to get on the big screen one day, but the thing about those movies is that half of the time they don't even pass the development stage. Maybe luck has finally reached director Adam McKay's side for his long in-development project 'The Boys' if Paramount has anything to do with it.

Forget all about the Upfronts and the new shows of the season, this is the project we want to see! It seems our favorite duo from 'The Other Guys' are reuniting along with comedian Rob Riggle to develop a new period comedy for HBO. But our question is, will Ferrell (get it? Will Ferrell) and Mark Wahlberg actually star, or leave all the funny duties to Riggle himself?

Paramount
Will Ferrell appeared on the ‘Conan’ show in full Ron Burgundy gear to announce that Paramount had agreed to terms on an ‘Anchorman’ sequel. Precious few details were shared, however, before Burgundy blew into his flute and danced off into the night. When will the sequel reach theaters? And what might it be about? Thankfully, writer/director Adam McKay’s shedding a little more light on the situation.

Dreamworks
In what may be the greatest news in the history of cinema, Will Ferrell broke on tonight's Conan O'Brien show that he will be reuniting with director Adam McKay, and co-stars Paul Rudd and Steve Carell for what could be the greatest sequel every filmed: 'Anchorman 2.' This has the possibility of making 'The Godfather Part II' look like 'The Godfather Part III.'
