Paramount’s writers room experiment on the Transformers franchise proved to be quite productive, with writer / producer Akiva Goldsman overseeing a brain trust that yielded ideas for future sequels and spinoffs. Following his success on the Transformers franchise, the studio has put Goldsman in charge of developing similar writers rooms for G.I. Joe and Micronauts, hoping to revitalize the former and kickstart the latter.

Now that Upfronts 2015 have thoroughly decided the fate of superhero TV over the next few months, from Legends of Tomorrow’s season order to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s spinoff pullback, at least a few comic-adapted series remain in limbo. In particular, TNT’s proposed Titans series seems somewhat stalled, though producers say the pilot may ramp up production this summer.
