With the trailer for HBO's 'Phil Spector,' it's easy to fixate on the tabloid nature of the project and Al Pacino's multitude of wigs. Sure, that's what the real Phil Spector looked like in court, but will that overwhelm this true life story about Spector's court time and possible murder of Lana Clarkson? Hopefully writer/director David Mamet has some tricks up his sleeve.

Don't let the title of Brian De Palma's latest fool you -- the director is re-teaming with his 'Scarface' star Al Pacino to take on the not-so-happy story of Joe Paterno, the legendary Penn State football coach who got caught up in the Jerry Sandusky child molestation scandal.
Trivia: Though Al Pacino and Christopher Walken never starred opposite each other before 2013's 'Stand Up Guys,' they have appeared in one movie together. That film? 2003's 'Gigli.' Which sets the bar low for their new movie. The good news is that their new film looks entertaining.
The wounds may not be healed, but as the biography 'Paterno' is currently a best seller, it's no surprise that people are trying to put together a biographical picture about Penn State football coach Joe Paterno. Currently Al Pacino is attached to star - though it seems more likely to end up an HBO movie than a theatrical one.
Al Pacino, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in 1992's 'Glengarry Glen Ross' is returning for a new production of the classic David Mamet story, but this time in a completely different role.
