There’s a smorgasbord of Jenji Kohan coming to Netflix this summer, but we’re admittedly more curious for ‘80s wrestling dramedy GLOW. Watch Alison Brie become a gorgeous (and villainous?) lady of wrestling in a stylish new teaser for the June premiere.

The first — red band and incredibly NSFW — trailer for The Little Hours ticks off so many of the right boxes: Aubrey Plaza and Alison Brie as foul-mouthed, promiscuous nuns. John C. Reilly, merely existing because that’s really all that we require of him. Fred Armisen’s off-kilter humor, Dave Franco (the superior Franco), Nick Offerman, and Molly Shannon — all participating in a raunchy take on those stoic Euro masterpieces from the ’70s. (Despite the fact that The Devils already exists.)

You definitely had us at “Orange Is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan’s new Netflix series,” but you didn’t not have us at “Alison Brie vs. Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling.” It’s all ready to GLOW in a first look at the new ‘80s series, as seen in gorgeous photos.

In a world void of Community movie updates, ABC’s Dr. Ken has steadily drawn headlines with Ken Jeong inviting former Greendale students and teachers for mini-reunions. That prospect will get even weirder with series creator Dan Harmon and star Alison Brie, as the already-meta Community gets its own meta-return.

Just yesterday saw Netflix shining a light on its new Jenji Kohan-Alison Brie wrestling comedy GLOW, and now the glare is fully on. A new teaser for the ‘80s-set series promises a June premiere to accompany Orange Is the New Black, and a first look at those gorgeous ladies.

One of the apostles (I think it was Peter) once said that casting John C. Reilly covers over a multitude of sins. The Little Hours is basically a one-joke sketch — medieval nuns swearing like sailors — stretched out to feature length, but whenever the film starts to run out of gas or repeat itself a little too much, there’s Reilly, its rock and redeemer, turning watery jokes into a potent brew.

There aren’t very many more hurdles Netflix’s GLOW needs to clear to gain our attention, whether inspiration from the real ‘80s wrestling phenomenon, Orange Is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan or star Alison Brie, but our first photos might seal the deal. Looks like Marc Maron’s garage is about to get a major overhaul, especially after closing down IFC’s Maron. The famed podcaster and comedian will take the male lead role of Netflix’s new women’s wrestling comedy GLOW, joining Alison Brie in the Jenji Kohan-created series.
