Break out your finest “YAS QUEEN,” the ladies of Comedy Central aren’t going anywhere just yet. Not only do Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer have a two-season Broad City renewal to celebrate, but so too will Amy Schumer stay Inside for a fifth season to come in 2016.

Dual guest hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler brought a lot of magic to last night’s episode of SNL, but the former cast members and Sisters co-stars probably hit their peak with a sort-of-music-video about their “Dope Squad,” aka the team of perfectly ordinary people who make their lives better on a daily basis. And while they may be wearing tight leather outfits, wielding weapons, and posing dramatically in front of post-apocalyptic imagery, the subject matter is far more mundane…and then Amy Schumer shows up.

Over the summer we discovered that our imaginary BFFs Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer have become friends in real life, and really, what could be better? Oh, right — it wasn’t long before Lawrence and Schumer revealed that they’re working on a comedy film together. We haven’t heard much more about it since then, though its mere existence has sustained the hopes and dreams of many a J-Amy fan. While we anxiously await this miraculous product of two beautiful minds, Lawrence has a few details to hold us over.

For a show that so often deals with politics, SNL rarely gets political. That makes the darkness of last night's fake commercial about guns all the more jaw-dropping. This show has been around for 41 seasons because it tends to play it safe on any issue that could actually stir up real trouble. But here we are, with the show dropping the gauntlet on a subject most people don't want to talk about at all.

There were a lot of very funny people sharing the screen with Amy Schumer in this summer's hit movie Trainwreck, but only one of them was a current SNL cast member who could reunite with her on the small screen for a very funny, very silly sketch. We didn't think we'd be so happy to see Schumer and Vanessa Bayer sharing the screen again, but we underestimated how much we enjoyed this duo on the big screen, even though they only shared a few scenes together.

When you’re this beloved, there’s one place you need to be: on the SNL stage. Schumer makes her SNL hosting debut tonight and absolutely kills it, delivering a complete 180 from whatever happened with last week's relentlessly humorless season premiere (can we just pretend this was the season premiere? Among all the great stuff hitting the small screen this fall, it may be easy to forget that Amy Schumer — comedy goddess, hilarious human, et al. — has an HBO special coming next month. The live special was directed by HBO vet Chris Rock, but judging by the first trailer for Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo that’s probably going to seem like an afterthought because Schumer is absolutely killing it. And by it we mean this bottle of wine — but also jokes!

Earlier this summer, Trainwreck star Amy Schumer tweeted photos of her partying with newfound BFF Jennifer Lawrence in The Hamptons. Now, it seems like Schumer and Lawrence are more than just party pals, they’re future co-stars. Lawrence revealed the new friends are currently writing a script together that they plan to star in.
