More Andrew Rannells is always a good thing, so it’s about time that the actor got his very own starring vehicle. Enter Judd Apatow, who previously teamed up with Amy Schumer to direct Trainwreck, which the comedian starred in and wrote. Apatow is giving Rannells the similar treatment, producing a new comedy film which Rannells will star in and co-write.

Fans of Andrew Rannells' acerbic 'Girls' character Elijah were disappointed to see the actor taking a reduced role in season 2 to accommodate his commitment to NBC's 'The New Normal,' but, well, we all know how that turned out. Rannells has been confirmed to return for 'Girls' season 3 in 2014, but should the Lena Dunham-scripted dramedy make it to season 4 in 2015, Rannells will count himself among the series regulars.
