This weekend on 'Saturday Night Live,' Kristen Wiig was given a teary farewell. Though rumors had swirled that she was leaving, the final sketch/song left no doubt that the episode was Wiig's last. What was odd is that both Andy Samberg and Jason Sudeikis were also rumored to leave. Were they ignored?

'SNL' and Lonely Island Planning "Lazy Sunday" Sequel as Last Digital Short

Just yesterday, we published our list of the 10 Best 'SNL' Digital Shorts and, not surprisingly, "Lazy Sunday" came in at #1. At the risk of repeating ourselves, we won't get into why "Lazy Sunday" was so revolutionary for both 'SNL' and online videos (you can read the article for that), but rest assured, we think it's very big part of 'SNL' history. And as Andy Samberg prepares to leave 'SNL' he and his Lonely Island partners are going back to the beginning for their swan song.

Did you miss 'Saturday Night Live' last night? Well, fret not, gentle television viewer with a highly restrictive bedtime and/or busy late night schedule! With the power of the internet, there's no reason to ever fall behind on the best (and occasionally worst) material that the immortal SNL has to offer. This week, Josh Brolin took on hosting duties, but the most buzzed about moment was when someone, who may or may not be named Steven Spielberg, made a special appearance.

'Saturday Night Live' is an institution at this point, and will never leave as long as there's no real competition. But it does go through stages. It looks like this year will end another era, as it's being reported that Kristen Wiig, Andy Samberg and Jason Sudeikis will all leave at the end of the year.
