Gotham hasn’t proven particularly shy with the lion’s share of Season 2 footage and teasers, but at least a few faces have been missing from its city streets. No longer, as the full character gallery for Gotham Season 2 brings Two-Face, Lucius Fox and more back into the fold, along with some new menace for our future Batman.
As Gotham Season 2's promotion ramps up, focus continually aims at the colorful villains emerging throughout the city, rather than young Bruce Wayne’s cowled future. Still, a new photo takes us inside the major Bat-revelation of Season 1's finale, while Ben McKenzie offers his take on when the series should introduce a full-grown Batman.
FOX’s Gotham clearly made enough Bat-fans happy to justify an extended first season order, as well as the Season 2 renewal, though many (like us) derided the show’s take on the Dark Knight’s early days. Series lead Ben McKenzie apparently agrees, calling Season 1 a “mistake,” and assuring this year will be “exactly what the fans want to see.”
Gotham has never shied away from hammering home its origins and imagery, and Season 2 seems no different by the first posters. Watch the villains rise (weren’t they already doing that?) with a batty first look at the new FOX season, complete with shots of our new big Gotham big bads.
Gotham gave out a few tidbits of Season 2 from its Comic-Con 2015 panel, though only those in attendance got to see new footage. Now, the DC drama goes batty with villains in two new trailers for the fall premiere, including a new look at the Batcave, and the so-called “Rise of the Villains.”
Like the passing trends of movie-TV adaptations and revivals, more and more cult movie and TV favorites have come to hit the stage. Following such head-turning musical adaptations as Cruel Intentions and the upcoming Clueless, now FOX’s sun-soaked O.C. has gotten in on the game, albeit with a meta twist.
FOX's Batman prequel 'Gotham' featured yet another bit of bat-mythology with this past Monday's "Viper," but the DC drama will soon add at least one new face with the arrival of 'Masters of Sex' star Nicholas D'Agosto as Harvey Dent. 'Gotham''s white knight won't make his official appearance until a bit later in the season, but we've got a first look at the future Two-Face in action right now!
We've been deservedly hard on FOX's laughable 'Gotham' in its inaugural three episodes, but with ratings across the board proving notably strong, the network has officially decided to make the best of a Bat-situation. Despite the show's own stars touting the virtue of a 16-episode order, the Batman prequel drama has officially been extended to a full 22 episodes for its first run.
We live in a different world now. I can’t imagine any serious Batman fan feels underrepresented. Now, watching the ‘60s ‘Batman’ series, it all seems really, I don’t know, fun. Hey, I know that I can watch ‘The Dark Knight’ any time I want. I don’t feel like the camp is being forced on me, it just seems like an option now. And with so many dark and depressing superhero movies, it’s kind of nice to see something so lighthearted. And then there’s ‘Gotham.’ Oh, brother.
FOX's 'Gotham' will formally premiere its pre-Bat drama this coming Monday for those who missed the premiere at Comic-Con 2014, but why wait? The network has released its first formal clip from the pilot episode, as a young James Gordon learns from Oswald Cobblepot how corrupt 'Gotham' can truly be. Plus, meet Penguin's mommy in photos from episode 2, "Selina Kyle!"
