Bill Murray is a living legend. He's universally recognized as one of the best actors out there and is well-respected by many not only for his bold roles in both comedy and drama, but just for the many bold decisions he's made throughout his career. And also for being just an all-around awesome individual. Such awesomeness continued this past weekend with a classic Bill Murray moment.
Does anybody have a list of the movies Bill Murray could have been in if the notoriously hard-to-reach actor had only checked his messages? Apparently we can add one more mega-movie franchise to that healthy roster of missed opportunities, because Murray confirms that he could have been in ‘Iron Man,’ only Robert Downey Jr. couldn’t get a hold of him.
Who doesn't love Bill Murray? He's one of the few veteran actors out there who can manage to tackle comedies and dramas while dishing out a great performance every single time. The plain fact that he's been collaborating with Wes Anderson on ninety percent of his movies just makes it all the more sweeter, and we get to see that again in a couple of days with 'Moonrise Kingdom.'
'Moonrise Kingdom' is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Wes Anderson's first live action film since the woefully divisive 'The Darjeeling Limited,' and his first effort since 'The Fantastic Mr. Fox,' Anderson teams with Roman Coppola (son of Francis Ford, brother of Sofia) for his latest.
As expected, everything is precious and adorable.
We had thought that perhaps Wes Anderson, no stranger to New York City, might premiere 'Moonrise Kingdom', his latest film, at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival (Anderson has been no stranger to screenings and Q&A's in Tribeca). But Anderson and Focus Features clearly had their sights set a little higher.
